How to take

This medicine is supposed to be taken as needed but not more often than every 24 hours. But if you are taking other medicines you may only use Levitra one time every three days. Eating fatty meal can slow down the absorption of the medicine and make your treatment less efficient. If your doctor does not give other instruction try to avoid drinking grapefruit juice or eating grapefruit while being treated with Levitra.

Side effects

Levitra (Generic) is well tolerated by most men taking it regularly. Side effects you may experience cannot be foreseen and may vary in intensity for different people. Side effects include headache, lightheadedness or dizziness, flushing, stuffy or runny nose, heartburn, diarrhea, stomach upset or nausea. Please let your doctor know as soon as possible if you get such side effects as sudden vision loss, increased sensitivity to light, blurred vision or impaired green/blue color discrimination. Side effects that also may occur include nausea and chest pain. If your symptoms do not improve or become worse, check your doctor. Drug interactions

Tell your healthcare provider about all medicines (especially containing nitrates) you are taking. Certain medicines may tend to cause a decrease of blood pressure. Be sure to mention: amiodarone (Cordarone); itraconazole (Sporanox) and ketoconazole (Nizoral); clarithromycin (Biaxin); erythromycin (E.E.S., E-Mycin, Erythrocin); antifungals such as fluconazole (Diflucan), metronidazole (Flagyl); fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem); danazol (Danocrine); nefazodone (Serzone); fluvoxamine (Luvox); cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune); delaviradine (Rescriptor); diltiazem (Cardizem, Dilacor, Tiazac); disopyramide (Norpace); HIV protease inhibitors such as indinavir (Crixivan) and ritonavir (Norvir); other medications or treatments for erectile dysfunction; medications for high blood pressure or irregular heartbeat; isoniazid (INH, Nydrazid); quinidine (Quinidex); sotalol (Betapace); paroxetine (Paxil); procainamide (Procanbid, Pronestyl); troleandomycin (TAO); zafirlukast (Accolate); verapamil (Calan, Covera, Isoptin, Verelan). Under these circumstances, doctors recommend lower doses of Levitra or longer time interval between doses.

Storage

Pharmacists advice to store Levitra (Generic) at room temperatures between 59 and 86 F (15-30 C) away from light and moisture. Levitra should be kept out of children’s reach.
